Kaszel (the cough) originated somewhere between the second and fourth wave of the coronavirus. A severe lung infection marked the beginning of the band's history. Everyone in the rehearsal space was sick. The cough was so intense that we decided to record it with our phone. We then processed the recording through guitar pickups and effects, and the resulting cough loops became the concept for the band. We create psychedelic soundscapes from field recordings, with mobile phones serving as our main sound source. Kaszel is a young project and is part of the Polish invasion of 5 bands at murf/murw. It is co-founded by old-timers from the alternative scene of Wroclaw, Timingeriu, as well as the newly formed Wroclaw Improvised Orchestra.
