Femke Dekker's work is born from an interest in the dynamics of painting. The interplay, which arises when this act of painting is caught by the eye of a camera, fascinates her. The camera creates a temporary frame which replaces the canvas. With this, there is a free space created, which gives meaning to Dekkers by making it her own with shape and colours.
