where and when does the festival take place?
The festival takes place on October 2, 3, and 4. However, the pre-festival program begins as early as Tuesday, September 29. Check the schedule for the full program and all the latest information. With your festival passe-partout you can attend the pre-program for free.
It takes place at 12 locations in Tilburg’s city center: De Nieuwe Vorst, Hall of Fame, Cinecitta, Paradox, Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg, Kunstpodium T, Little Devil, NS16, Harmonie, Broekhovense Kerk, Pauluskerk, and a pop-up space next to FEBO.
Where can I collect my festival wristband or ticket?
Upon arrival, you can exchange your ticket for a wristband. This can be done on the festival days at Theater De Nieuwe Vorst. The ticket desk is located at the top of the stairs at the entrance.
Opening hours of the ticket desk:
Friday 16:00 – 21:30
Saturday 12:00 – 20:30
Sunday 12:00 – 20:30
You can also exchange your ticket for a wristband before the film screenings in the Broekhovense Kerk on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
Where to eat something?
Get your daily (vegan) festival meal between 17:30 and 20:30 PM, for 15 euro at De Nieuwe Vorst. Reservations are not possible and once it’s gone, it’s gone!

How can I reach the Murf/Murw Festival?
We recommend you to visit the festival by train since thee festival is located in the heart of Tilburg’s city center. It’s just a short ± 5-minute walk from the central station to the festival venues. The maximum distance between locations is a 10-minute walk. If you’re concerned about missing any programs, you can always rent an OV-fiets (public transport bike) at the central station.
Of course, you also have the option to arrive by car, with plenty of parking facilities available in the city center. However, we recommend parking your car outside the city center to save money. More information can be found at: https://www.tilburg.nl/
Possibilities to pay at the festival?
The payment methods vary depending on the location, as we do not use tokens or coupons. You can jusy pay for your drinks with either a debit card or cash at any of the festival venues. The same payment options apply to the ticket desk and our gift shop in De Nieuwe Vorst.
Can I bring children to Murf/Murw?
Absolutely! Children up to 12 years old can attend the festival for free. However, they do need a wristband for entry to the venues, so please first visit the ticket desk at De Nieuwe Vorst.
Every year we make a special program with highlights for kids. You can get this program at the ticket desk at de Nieuwe Vorst.
Please note: Some performances have an age guideline, which will be clearly indicated on the program page, for example 16+. It is the parents’ responsibility to decide whether a performance is suitable for their child.
Other Information:
– Please note that animals like dogs are not allowed at the locations.
– The program is subject to change. In the event of an unexpected cancellation of one or more announced acts, tickets will not be refunded. We will make every effort to provide a replacement program.
– Distributing flyers or posting posters on or near the festival site without prior consultation with the organizers is prohibited. Please contact marcom.murfmurw@gmail.com.
– Want to make sure you catch a performance? Make sure to arrive on time. All performances and program events are open to anyone with a festival ticket. Once full, it’s full.
